If you want stuff for free in Las Vegas, you can get it via many routes. However there is just one I absolutely have to mention that is far and away the #1 method I use outside of earning hotel comps by gambling. Let me introduce you to a Facebook® game called MyVegas®. If you don't have a Facebook® account then this may change your mind. I can't help you with the consequences of getting a Facebook® account (all your old school buddies suddenly wanting to chat with you at 3am), but I can make the effort very well worth your time.
In Facebook®, near the top, is a seach box. Type in myvegas. Lots of options will come up, but you want to start with MyVegas Slots®. The game will become self-explanatory, and it is free. Having said that, if you become addicted to it, you can purchase additional coins. DO NOT PURCHASE ADDITIONAL COINS! What is the point of getting stuff for free if you actually pay for it? (Disclaimer: I have paid for coins at least three times! Because I am fricking addicted to it! But YOU shouldn't!)
To begin with, you will gradually build up "The Strip" - adding hotels which increases your various coin bonuses which you get every couple of hours. You keep building until you max out at level 200. After that you're just in it for the gold coins. You can earn gold coins by doing turnover, by logging on and spinning a once-a-day wheel which may give you red play coins or gold spending coins, by getting to new levels or by buying packages which come with some gold coins. Whichever way you earn them, red is the fun stuff but gold is the actual purpose.
You can start spending gold coins almost immediately, but you will need an MLife® account. It's no problem if you don't have one, but it makes life a bit easier if you do. Gold coins can be spent on almost anything in the MLife® group, from a free pack of playing cards to a free cruise. But what I mostly spend them on has been 2-for-1 show tickets, free rooms and 2-for-1 buffets (see image below of redeemed purchases).
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: You can only claim a specific reward once. So, since I am using up my option for 2 free nights at The Bellagio® on my next trip, I cannot do that again. I can stay anywhere else, or use any other offer at The Bellagio®, but this one will hereafter be locked out.
The clever people that run this game realized how freaking addicted we all are, they so then came out with a phone version of the game. Your gold coins merge between the accounts, but the play money and games formats are completely separate. And once they set that main game up on the phone they then came out with a blackjack version, followed by a Konami® games version, followed by a POP!Slots® version (which happens to be my favorite to play).
You may notice I also have a Caesars Slots® game app too. This is for fun only and offers no actual benefits, so its not worth playing. Having said that it is fun, and can pass the time until you get some more play coins on the MLife® games. But again DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY ON COINS!
Now, if you are super addicted, then you may want to play the computer based version on your phone during the day to continuously collect coins until you get home - you cannot do that directly, because Apple® doesn't let you use Flash Media® - (I have no idea if you can on a Samsung® or other non-iPhone®) - but there is an app that solves that problem called Puffin®. But don't worry about getting that yet - wait until you are completely hooked on the game (I think it costs 99c).
I guess what YOU want to spend the coins on is going to be different to what I want, but over the last two years I've spent the coins variously, but still managed to have almost 2,000,000 left in the bank in case I need a quick cruise or something!
Anyway, don't blame me for ruining your marriage - my wife gets totally pissed with me playing all these games all the time. Although she may thank me when I take her on a free cruise one day - and she is coming to The Bellagio® with me :-)
Once every so often I need to make a disclaimer which says I have no affiliation with any product, site or service mentioned in this blog, and so I am declaring I have no association in any way to, among others: MyVegas® Pop!Slots® Facebook® MLife® Caesars Slots® Bellagio® Apple® iPhone® Flash Media® Puffin®
